EXODUS 37

And Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood; its length was two and a half cubits, and its breadth one and a half cubits, and its height one and a half cubits. 2 And he overlaid it with pure gold inside and out, and made a rim of gold all round it. 3 And he cast four rings of gold for it at its four corners, with two rings on one side of it, and two rings on the other side. 4 And he made poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold. 5 And he put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, for carrying the ark. 6 And he made the mercy-seat of pure gold; its length was two and a half cubits, and its breadth one and a half cubits. 7 And he made two cherubim of gold; he made them of hammered work, out of the two ends of the mercy-seat, 8 one cherub out of one end, and the other cherub out of the other end; as a part of the mercy-seat he made the cherubim, out of its two ends. 9 And the cherubim had their wings stretched upwards, covering the mercy-seat with their wings, with their faces towards one another; the faces of the cherubim were towards the mercy-seat.

10 Then he made the table of acacia wood; its length was two cubits, its breadth a cubit, and its height one and a half cubits. 11 And he overlaid it with pure gold, and made a rim of gold all round it. 12 And he made a border of a hand's breadth all round it, and made a rim of gold all round its border. 13 And he cast four rings of gold for it, and fixed the rings at the four corners by its four feet. 14 The rings were close to the border, as housings for the poles to carry the table. 15 And he made the poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold, to carry the table. 16 And he made the utensils which were on the table of pure gold, its dishes, its cups, its bowls, and its jars, for pouring into.

17 Then he made the lampstand of pure gold. He made the shaft and the central branch of the lampstand of hammered work; its cups, its pomegranates, and its flowers were fashioned from it. 18 And six branches stemmed from its sides, three branches of the lampstand from one side of it, and three branches from the other side of it, 19 with three almond-shaped cups on one branch, with a pomegranate and a flower, and three almond-shaped cups on the other branch, with a pomegranate and a flower-the same for the six branches stemming from the lampstand. 20 And on the lampstand there were four almond-shaped cups, with their pomegranates and flowers, 21 with a pomegranate under the first two branches of it, and a pomegranate under the second two branches, and a pomegranate under the third two branches, for the six branches stemming from it. 22 The pomegranates and the branches were fashioned from it; all of it was one piece of hammered work of pure gold. 23 And he made the seven lamps for it; and its snuffers and fire-pans were of pure gold. 24 He made it from a talent of pure gold, with all its utensils.

25 Then he made the altar of incense of acacia wood; its length was a cubit, and its breadth a cubit, it was square; and its height was two cubits; its horns were part of it. 26 And he overlaid it with pure gold, its top, its sides all round it, and its horns; and he made a rim of gold all round it. 27 And he made for it two rings of gold under the rim on its two ribs, on its two sides, as housings for the poles by which to carry it. 28 And he made the poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold.

29 And he made the sacred anointing oil, and the pure incense of flagrant spices, the work of a perfumer.
