THAT THOSE WHO ARE INWARDLY CUNNING ARE UNEXPECTEDLY CAST OUT OF SOCIETIES OR CONSOCIATIONS There are some in the world who without conscience desire to harm the neighbor, but who present an external appearance as if they were honest. They take very great care for various reasons lest they should appear such, instigating others to do harm, provided that they themselves may seem blameless. They insinuate themselves into societies of spirits, and they sit chatting with the spirits there who suppose no otherwise than that they form a common fellowship with them inwardly and in the mind [animus] also.
