Through personal experience I learned that people who were caught up in faith alone and led a moral life formed for themselves heavens in which they seemed to themselves to be in a state of light; but I was shown that it was a wintry light, for when angels looked in their direction, instead of light there appeared darkness. People who go there and are in state of charity feel pain in their chest, stomach, and knees.
