9250. 'To be a witness of violence' means not affirming such things as are contrary to the good of charity. This is clear from the meaning of 'a witness' as confirmation, dealt with in 4197, 8908; and from the meaning of 'violence' as the destruction of the good of charity, dealt with in 6353, so that 'being a witness of violence' means affirming things contrary to the good of charity.
