This is clear from the meaning of 'obedience' as the reception of truths which go forth from the Lord; and from the meaning of 'peoples' as those governed by truths - thus also truths themselves, dealt with in 1259, 1260, 3581 - and therefore as those who belong to the spiritual Church, 2928.
