Anyone giving the matter due consideration can see that high positions and wealth in the world are not the real Divine blessings, even though the desire for them leads a person to call them such; for they are transient, and also lead many astray, turning them away from heaven. But life in heaven and happiness there are the real blessings, coming from God, as also the Lord teaches in Luke,
Make for yourselves a treasure that does not fail in heaven, where no thief penetrates nor moth corrupts. For where your treasure is, there also your heart will be. Luke 12:33,34.
