4548. Who answered me in the day of my distress. That this signifies in the state of the setting of truth before good, is evident from the signification of "day," as being state (see n. 23, 487, 488, 493, 893, 2788, 3462, 3785). That by the "day of my distress" is signified the state of the setting of truth before good, may be seen from what was said above (see n. 4542); for the "day of distress" here involves the same as the words there-"when thou fleddest from before Esau thy brother."
