LEVITICUS 6
Then Yehowah spoke to Moses, and said, 2 If any person sins and commits a trespass against Yehowah, and deals falsely with his neighbour concerning a deposit or a pledge, or by robbery, or if he defrauds his neighbour; 3 or if he finds what is lost and deals falsely concerning it and swears falsely; in any of these things that the man does and so sins, 4 then because he has sinned and is guilty, he shall return the plunder which he took by robbery, or the wrongful gain which he obtained by fraud, or the deposit that was placed with him, or the lost article which he found, 5 or anything about which he has sworn falsely; and he shall restore it in full, adding a fifth to it; he shall give it to the owner on the day of his guilt-offering. 6 And he shall bring to the priest as his guilt-offering to Yehowah a ram without a blemish out of the flock, as valued by you for a guilt-offering; 7 and the priest shall make a reconciliation for him before Yehowah, and he shall be forgiven for the thing which he has done and by which he has incurred guilt.
8 Then Yehowah spoke to Moses, and said, 9 Command Aaron and his sons, and say, This is the law of the burnt-offering. The burnt-offering shall be on the hearth* upon the altar all night till morning, and the altar fire shall be kept burning on it. 10 And the priest shall put his linen robe on, and his linen breeches on his body; and he shall take up the ashes of the burnt-offering consumed by the fire on the altar, and shall place them at the side of the altar. 11 Then he shall take his robes off and put other clothes on; and he shall carry the ashes away to a clean place outside the camp. 12 So the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it, it shall not go out; and every morning the priest must kindle some wood on it. And he must lay the burnt-offering on it in order, and burn the fat of the communion-offerings on it. 13 Fire shall always be kept burning on the altar; it shall never go out. * lit hot-place perhaps grating (see Exodus 27:4) or fuel
14 And this is the law of the grain-offering. Aaron's sons shall offer it in front of the altar before Yehowah. 15 And one of them shall take up from it a handful of the fine flour of the grain-offering and of the oil with it and all the frankincense which is on the grain-offering, and he shall burn it on the altar for an odour of rest, a token of it to Yehowah. 16 And Aaron and his sons shall. eat what remains; it shall be eaten without leaven in a holy place; they shall eat it in the court of the tent of meeting. 17 It must not be baked with leaven. I have given it from my fire-offerings for their portion; it is most holy, like the sin-offering and the guilt-offering. 18 Every male among the sons of Aaron shall eat it as a fixed due for ever throughout your generations from the fire-offerings to Yehowah; whatever touches these offerings shall become holy.
19 And Yehowah spoke to Moses, and said, 20 This is the gift which Aaron and his sons shall offer to Yehowah on the day when he is anointed: a tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a regular grain-offering, half of it in the morning and half of it in the evening. 21 It shall be made with oil in a pan; you shall bring it well mixed. You shall offer the cakes of the grain-offering in pieces, for an odour of rest to Yehowah. 22 And the priest who is anointed in his place from among Aaron's sons shall offer it. It is a statute for ever to Yehowah; the whole shall. be burnt. 23 And every grain-offering of a priest shall be completely burnt; it shall not be eaten.
24 Then Yehowah spoke to Moses, and said, 25 Speak to Aaron and his sons, and say, This is the law of the sin-offering. In the place where the burnt-offering is slaughtered the sin-offering shall be slaughtered before Yehowah; it is most holy. 26 The priest who offers it because of sin shall eat it; it shall be eaten in a holy place, in the court of the tent of meeting. 27 Whatever touches its flesh shall become holy; and whatever clothing its blood is sprinkled upon (whatever it is sprinkled upon) you shall wash in a holy place. 28 And the earthenware vessel in which it is boiled shall be broken; but if it is boiled in a bronze vessel, it shall be scoured and then rinsed in water. 29 Every male among the priests may eat it; it is most holy. 30 But no sin-offering shall be eaten from which any blood is brought into the tent of meeting to make a reconciliation in the sanctuary; it shall be burnt in a fire.
