EXODUS 39

And from the violet, the purple, and the double-dyed scarlet they made the finely-worked robes for ministering in the holy place, and they made the sacred robes which were for Aaron, as Yehowah had commanded Moses.

2 Then he made the ephod of gold, of violet and purple, and of double-dyed scarlet and fine twined linen. 3 And they beat out the plates of gold and cut threads from them, to work into the violet and purple, and into the double-dyed scarlet and fine linen, the work of a designer. 4 They made shoulder-pieces for it, joining it together; at its two edges it was joined together. 5 And the sash which was on it for tying it on was part of it, of similar work, of gold, of violet, purple, and double-dyed scarlet, and of fine twined linen; as Yehowah had commanded Moses.

6 And they worked shoham stones enclosed in settings of gold, engraved with engravings as on a signet ring with the names of the sons of Israel. 7 And he put them on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod, as stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel; as Yehowah had commanded Moses.

8 Then he made the breastpiece, the work of a designer, like the work of the ephod, of gold, of violet, purple, and double-dyed scarlet, and of fine twined linen. 9 It was square; they made the breastpiece doubled; its length was a span, and its width a span, when doubled. 10 And they adorned it with four columns of stones: a column of a ruby, a topaz, and a carbuncle, the first column; 11 and the second column, a chrysoprase, a sapphire, and a diamond; 12 and the third column, a lapis lazuhi, an agate, and an amethyst; 13 and the fourth column, a beryl, a shoham, and a jasper; they were enclosed in frames of gold in their settings. 14 And the stones were according to the names of the sons of Israel; there were twelve, according to their names; with engravings as on a signet ring, each one with its name, according to the twelve tribes. 15 And on the breastpiece they made border-chains of plaited work; they were of pure gold. 16 And they made two settings of gold, and two rings of gold; and they put the two, rings on the two edges of the breastpiece. 17 And they put the two plaits of gold in the two rings at the edges of the breastpiece; 18 and they fastened the two edges of the two plaits to the two settings; and they fastened them on the front of the shoulder-pieces of the ephod. 19 And they made two rings of gold, and put them on the two edges of the breastpiece, on the border of the inner side of the ephod. 20 And they made two rings of gold, and attached them to the front of the lower part of the two shoulder-pieces of the ephod, just above where it joined the sash of the ephod. 21 And they bound the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a cord of violet, so as to be on the sash of the ephod, so that the breastpiece would not be displaced from the ephod; as Yehowah had commanded Moses.

22 Then he made the robe of the ephod, the work of a weaver, all of violet. 23 And there was a hole in the middle of the robe, like the hole in woven armour, with an edging around the hole, so that it would not be torn. 24 And on the skirts of the robe they made pomegranates of violet and purple and double-dyed scarlet, intertwined. 25 And they made bells of pure gold; and they put the bells between the pomegranates on the skirts of the robe all the way round, between the pomegranates: 26 a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, on the skirts of the robe all the way round, for ministering in; as Yehowah had commanded Moses.

27 And they made tunics of fine linen, the work of a weaver, for Aaron and his sons, 28 and the turban of fine linen, and fine skull-caps of fine linen, and linen breeches of fine twined linen; 29 and the girdle of fine twined linen, and of violet and purple and double-dyed scarlet, the work of an embroiderer; as Yehowah had commanded Moses.

30 Then they made the plate of the sacred crown of pure gold; and they wrote an inscription on it, like the engraving on a signet ring, Holiness to Yehowah. 31 And they fastened a cord of violet on it, to fasten it on top of the turban; as Yehowah had commanded Moses.

32 So all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was finished. And the sons of Israel completed it; exactly as Yehowah commanded Moses, so they did it. 33 And they brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent and all its furnishings, its clasps, its bars, its supports, its pillars, and its bases; 34 and the covering of rams' skins dyed red, and the covering of badgers' skins, and the veil of the screen; 35 the ark of the Testimony with its poles, and the mercy-seat; 36 the table with all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence; 37 the pure lampstand with its lamps-the lamps set in order-and all its utensils; and the oil for the light; 38 and the altar of gold, and the anointing oil and the incense of spices; and the screen for the door of the tent; 39 the altar of bronze and its grating of bronze, its poles and all its utensils; the layer and its base; 40 the hangings of the court with its pillars and its bases, and the screen for the gate of the court with its cords and its pegs; and all the articles of the accessories of the tabernacle, for the tent of meeting; 41 the finely-worked robes to minister in the holy place, the sacred robes for Aaron the priest, and the robes of his sons, to minister in as priests. 42 Exactly as Yehowah had commanded Moses, so did the sons of Israel carry out all the work. 43 And Moses saw all the work, and that they had done it; as Yehowah had commanded, so had they done it. And Moses blessed them.
