CONCERNING THE PUNISHMENT OF THE WHIRL There is also a punishment for certain spirits which can be called the punishment of the whirl, that is, they are whirled around as an axle, and this continually and indeed very quickly. After this they are like clothes without a body, and their arms like the sleeves of a garment in which there is neither bone nor flesh; thus they are light, and are tossed about in this way.
