THE TERM "PERCEPTION" CAN BE APPLIED TO ANGELS Because "to perceive" relates both to the understanding and to the affection, so that it involves both, the term is applicable to angels who perceive the things of faith from each faculty, for they immediately perceive that a thing is true.* 1748, Mar. 15. * The entry in the Index (s.v.
