348. [341.] That an adulteress becomes the vessel of all abominations. The reason is that the husband's seed is his life, which has been conjoined with the life of his wife, so that they are not two but one flesh. But when the lives of more than one man are introduced into the same woman, such a pollution results that it cannot be described for the obscenity of it. Such a pollution results in the eyes of angels.
