For Aaron represents Divine Good in the heavens, and his sons Divine Truth springing from that Good. Furthermore Divine Good exists there as the Father, and Divine Truth springing from that Good, as the Son; and this being so, 'father' in the Word means good, and 'sons' truths. The latter are also born from the former when a person is generated anew, that is, when he is being regenerated.
