8353. 'And he cried to Jehovah' means pleas made to the Lord as a result of the grief. This is clear from the meaning of 'crying' as calling for help, dealt with in 6801, and also deep grief, 7782, so that pleas made as a result of grief are meant as well - Jehovah' in the Word being the Lord, see 8261.
