6290. 'To remove it from upon Ephraim's head onto Manasseh's head' means to divert him from error. This is clear from the meaning of 'removing' as diverting, and from the meaning of 'from upon Ephraim's head onto Manasseh's head' as from error, the error being that he considered truth to occupy the first place and good the second, as has been shown above.
