5775. 'And Judah and his brothers entered' means the good of the Church and the accompanying truths. This is clear from the representation of 'Judah' as the good of the Church, dealt with in 5583, 5603; and from the representation of 'his brothers' as truths present in the natural. The reason Judah, and not Reuben the firstborn or any of the others, went in and spoke to Joseph is that primarily 'Judah' represented good, and good is what communicates with the celestial from the Divine, not truths. For truths do not have any communication with the Divine except through good. This is the reason why no one but Judah spoke.
