That this signifies the consumption of the truth and good of faith with those who infest, is evident from the signification of "dying," namely, by the pestilence, as being a consumption (as above, n. 7505, 7507); and from the signification of "the cattle of the Egyptians," as being the truths and goods of the church with those who infest (as also above, n. 7506).
