That this signifies perception and acknowledgment by the celestial of the spiritual, is evident from the signification of "seeing," as being perception (see n. 2150, 3764, 4567, 4723); from the representation of Joseph, as being the celestial of the spiritual (n. 5417); from the signification of "his brethren, "as being the general truths of the church (also spoken of above, n. 5419); and from the signification of "knowing," as being acknowledgment from perception.
