53. With regard to the Word itself, however, it is not said in the Prophets that they spoke it from the Holy Spirit, but that they spoke it from Jehovah, from Jehovah Zebaoth, and from the Lord Jehovih.* For we read: The word of Jehovah came to me, Jehovah spoke to me; also very frequently: Thus saith Jehovah, and, The saying, or word, of Jehovah. Now, since the Lord is Jehovah, as has been shown above, it follows that the whole Word was spoken by Him.
