884. Saying with a great voice. That this signifies strong exhortation and denunciation, is evident from the signification of a great voice, as denoting exhortation (see above, n. 873). That it denotes strong exhortation not to remain in that heresy, and at the same time denunciation of ruin, is evident from the words following, where it is said, if any one worship the beast, he shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, mixed pure in the cup of His indignation, and shall be tormented with fire and sulphur; where other things besides are stated.
