2680. Heavenly cycles and revolutions
Heavenly cycles and revolutions occur according to the order represented in the world by years-the year's spring, summer, autumn, winter, and on to spring-and by days-the day's morning, noon, evening, night, and on to morning. The revolutions are from outward toward inward and more perfect regions, which is evident from the things we read about the Church from the ancient to the succeeding ones [cf. Gen. 8:22], so [revolutions] are the variations occurring in all things. 1748, 25 July.
