2507. These people also care nothing for what is spiritual and Divine, as has likewise been given me to learn from experience. For when their reins were slightly slackened when God was being mentioned, it was at once perceived that they cared nothing for Him; so there is nothing they think less about than God, because they are engrossed only in outer things and in pleasures separated from inner things. 1748, 3 July.
